Halfway Group

Halfway Group - LMS Implementation and Course Development

With over 20 self-sustained dealerships, Halfway Group has expanded across South Africa and Botswana. What started as just a humble filling station, has now transpired into a group made up of three divisions, known as property, motor and corporate services. This was inspired by a constant need to develop and grow the Halfway brand in the Southern Africa. Halfway Group specialises mainly in the Motor Industry with brands such as Toyota (being the largest), Hino, Ford, Nissan, Hyundai and Mazda. This case study focuses on Toyota.

THE CHALLENGE

Organisations are required to equip the professionals and workers of tomorrow with the capabilities they need to thrive and contribute to their company and for their own personal and professional development

THE SOLUTION

Digital Content Development Services (Blended Course Model) to convert a limited number of Halfway Orientation or similar focus learning programmes into LMS based course for online use by staff and intern complement.

A custom developed CDT (Course Development Toolkit) that provides Halfway with course and online learning delivery standards for all blended courses and guides learning quality.

THE RESULTS

To meet the early-stage digital learning needs of Halfway Group Holdings, we implemented a robust and responsive learning management system that can adapt to the growing needs of the organisation. The Halfway Learning Academy (U-Learn) was enabled to use Digikamva LMS effectively, to develop and deliver blended courses and use the provided Course Development Toolkit as guideline to develop their online courses
